• On the F10M platform
• 4.4 Liter V8 direct-injection twin-turbo with valvetronic
• 560 BHP @ 6,000–7,000 RPM
• 680 Nm @ 1,500-5,750 RPM
• 0-100 km/h in 4.4 sec. 0–200 km/h in 13.0 seconds
• 7-speed M Double-clutch transmission
• Dynamic damper control
• HUD, cruise control with braking, rear-view camera

MINI Cooper S @ Delhi Auto Expo 2012

MINI launched in India

MINI Cooper S
Rs. 27,90,000 (ex-showroom)

• The Cooper "S" is a higher performance variant of the Cooper
• 1.6L petrol produces 184 BHP @ 6000 RPM and 240 Nm @ 1600 - 5000 RPM
• It also has an "overboost" function which changes the turbo pressure and fueling to put out 260 Nm when needed (eg. during overtaking)
• 6-speed auto transmission
• Differences over the regular MINI Cooper include : Turbocharged engine, different interior trim, air-intake bonnet scoop, larger wheels, rear spoiler, and tweaks to the cooling system and chassis.

Ford Ecosport @ Auto Expo Delhi 2012

•The EcoSport will be powered by a 1.0-litre, 3 cylinder Turbocharged EcoBoost petrol engine.

• Expect a 5-speed manual transmission. No other engine or transmission options were mentioned at this time.
• Ford’s figures show a power output of 118 BHP and 170 Nm of Torque. Impressive for the small displacement engine.
• The engine features Ti-VCT (Twin Independent Variable Camshaft Timing) which plays a part in the turbocharged engine’s peak torque starting at 1,300 rpm!
• The EcoSport is based on the 2011 Fiesta platform.

Powered by a 1.4 litre K series VVT engine or the Fiat 1.3 MJD diesel. Petrol is rated at 94 BHP (@ 6000 rpm) and max torque of 130 Nm (@ 4000 rpm). The diesel is rated at 89 BHP (@ 4000 rpm) and max torque of 200 Nm (@ 1750 rpm). Will be interesting to gauge just how it behaves with 7 onboard

The UV segment has recorded superb growth in the last 3 years. Further, don't forget, UVs are extremely profitable (unlike cheap hatchbacks). Maruti will charge 2 - 3 lakhs extra for a stretched wheelbase, an extra row of seats and an engine that's 200 cc larger

Features include dual AC, 6 speaker audio + USB input, steering mounted audio controls, keyless entry, multi information display and electrically adjustable mirror.

Honda's Hatchback Brio unveiled

Honda BRIO Prototype makes World Premiere at the 27th Thailand International Motor Expo 2010. The new hatchback is developed for Asian markets and scheduled to be introduced in India in 2011. 

Honda BRIO further advances Honda’s “man maximum, machine minimum” concept. Being developed as a commuter vehicle which is easy-to-use even in urban areas, the Honda BRIO prototype adopts an easy-to-handle compact body (length 3,610mm x width 1,680mm x height 1,475 mm).
