Sony VAIO YB Series Netbook launched in India

Sony has announced the launch of new affordable Sony VAIO YB Series netbook in India, which was launched at the CES. It provides superb graphics performance, full HD content playback, sound clarity and good battery life.

Sony VAIO YB series netbook is based on AMD’s Fusion APU and Vision Technology. Sony VAIO YB comes with up to 4GB of RAM, up to 500GB storage, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1, VGA, HDMI-out and 3 USB ports.

Weighing 1.46 kgs VAIO YB has an 11.6 inch wide display, chiclet keyboard, and ergonomic touchpad for precision gestural control. VAIO YB comes with the ASSIST button for instant access to VAIO Care and VAIO original software.

Availability and Price : Sony VAIO YB will be available in pink, silver and green colors. The VAIO YB is priced at Rs. 26,990 and will be available in India from 2 Feb onwards.

Sony Unveils New Colorful Vaio E Series

Sony has announced the launch of a new colorful VAIO E Series. The 15.5-inch notebooks sport up to a 2.4 GHz Intel Core i5 processor, up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, a 500GB hard drive or the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 graphics chip and run Windows 7 Home Premium.

Other specifications include a DVD burner, three USB ports and an e-sata port, plus a built in web camera, WiFi and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, HDMI and VGA out, Gigabit Ethernet and a memory card reader. It measures 370 x 248 x 31mm and weighs 2.7 kgs with 6 cell battery but has a battery life of 3.5 hours. It also has a a chiclet-style keyboard, edge-to-edge display glass and electrostatic touchpad.

The VAIO E series is available in Lava Black, Iridescent Blue, Coconut White, Hibiscus Pink and Caribbean Green colors. VAIO E Series will be priced at around $800 and will be available in March.

Sony VAIO L touchscreen multipurpose PC unveiled

Sony has announced the Vaio L series all-in-one PC. It is an “ultimate multi-media hub” that serves as PC, HDTV and DVR.It provides different functionality.The VAIO L has built-in digital NTSC/ATSC TV tuner and DVR capabilities.The Sony VAIO L series All-in-One comes boasts a 24-inch wide touchscreen HD display with 1920×1080p resolution, which offers a great user comfort and convenience for view photos, camcorder clips, movie on blu-ray and more in Full HD.

Sony VAIO L All-in-one PC is powered by 2.7GHz Intel Pentium Dual Core CPU, 4GB of RAM (expandable up to 12GB), a 320GB hard drive. The system offers a choice for an NVIDIA GeForce GT 240M 1GB graphics chip, or the GeForce G210M 512MB GPU. Other various features of the VAIO L are WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth, a Blu-ray drive, HDMI, a face-tracking webcam, a DVD burner, Gigabit Ethernet LAN port, built-in IR receiver, Memory Stick card slot, SD card slot and the option of up to 1TB of built-in storage. It will come loaded with Microsoft Windows 7.

The other notable features of this PC include Media Gallery, Vaio Movie Story and Music player with SenseMe technology. The L series PC comes with a wireless keyboard. This keyboard flaunts a dedicated Vaio button that launches the Media Gallery.The price is expected to begin from $1299.99
